Maddy has 15 years of experience implementing mental strength and executing complex strategies under pressure as a competitive athlete and sports coach. She began her passion for fostering a growth mindset at a young age. Maddy realized the importance of emphasizing mental strategies such as focusing on the process, not the outcome; using breathing and mindfulness to stay present; practicing positive self-talk and visualization to build confidence and manage fear; and setting clear goals. “I chose a career within the mental health industry, so that I may use the skills I gained over the years to point others in the right direction. That continues to be my goal each day,” she says. Maddy is an avid runner, snowboarder and rock climber. While you can find her enjoying some kind of outdoor activity throughout the year, her favorite thing in the world is cuddling in bed with her furry best friend Junie B. Jones.
